Your Impact in 2024

Because of YOU, Free The Girls can continue our mission to provide sustainable economic opportunities and reintegrative services to survivors of sex trafficking. In 2024, through direct services and partnerships, your generous support has helped with the following in Costa Rica and El Salvador:

·       17 women were actively involved in the program; 9 women graduated; and 11 new women entered the program

·       10 women started new businesses selling bras; and 7 women sold bras in addition to gaining outside employment

·       23 children of the women in our program are being cared for through school scholarships, medical assistance, and case management as needed

·       Women in the program received group and individual therapy, legal assistance, addiction therapy, life skills classes, English classes, sewing classes, and computer classes

·       Women in the program participated in workshops such as: Risks of Being Retrafficked and Risks of Trafficking with Illicit Migration, Women’s Rights Seminar, Women’s Health and Hygiene, Trafficking in Persons Awareness, Suicide Prevention, STD Seminar, Self-Love and Care, Dignified Work Seminar, Self-Care in Action, Women’s Autonomy and Empowerment Seminar, Sales and Finances, and Adult Literacy

·       Through FTG scholarships 1 woman studied Criminology and graduates in May; 1 woman studied and graduated from barber school and has since gotten a job; 1 woman received her Microsoft Excel certification; and 2 women studied patient care and are now working at a youth rehabilitation center

·       Women were screened for HPV and HIV and had the opportunity to receive all needed vaccines as well as STD treatment
